Oho! Thailand sells surplus meals from well-known restaurants across Bangkok at 25-70% off, in an effort to tackle the food waste problems that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and wasted resources.
Food waste is a huge contributor to climate change. Globally ⅓ of all food produced is lost or wasted. If food waste was a country it would be the third biggest emitter after china and the USA!
In Thailand 64% of waste is organic waste and more than 60% of food in Thailand is discarded or wasted. This accounts for 8% of greenhouse gas emissions.
“Oho! Was founded to inspire everyone to take action against food surplus!”
Oho! Thailand app has plant-based options to choose from including rescued food from Carrots, Veganerie, Bonita Cafe & Social Club, Hebe, Easy Health (vegan options), Summer bowl (vegan options) and Theera (vegan options).
