Air Asia Launches Plant-Based Panang Curry On All Flights

Flying into the future like…

Remember when that passenger was served a banana as their in-flight vegan meal option? Totally traumatizing. Fear not, Air Asia is swooping in with some exciting news for vegans living and traveling in Asia…!

This month Air Asia embraced the ‘green revolution’ by launching a plant-based (vegan) in-flight meal! The plant-based Panang curry is completely plant-based (vegan) and the menu page even displays allergens just in case you need some extra reassurance!

AirAsia Thailand Head of Inflight Services, Ms. On-anong Methapipatkul said:

“The healthy twist on Panang was particularly challenging and novel for AirAsia as it sought to make the dish completely plant-based but at the same time able to satisfy both vegans and non-vegans alike.”

The meal is available for a very reasonable 180 baht (reasonable for an in-flight meal anyway) for pre order and in flight purchase on all Air Asia and Air Asia X flights. This in-flight highlight will be available until September 30th 2023 so you better curry up and try it before it’s too late!
